ENERGY Vertitas In-wall

Energy, manufacturer of some of the world's highest quality speakers announced an in-wall speaker worthy of the Veritas name. Veritas is Energy's premier line of speakers. This is a great achievement. While we recognize that it is difficult to surpass the mechanical and acoustical advantages of cabineted speakers, in-walls are being used more often, and the expectation of in-walls by some customers often exceed what lesser brands can deliver. Great sound should not be limited to cabineted speakers.

This product goes beyond just the usual PR hype from many speaker companies. Does the audio world need yet another in-wall speaker? Probably not. Does the audio world need a really good in-wall that matches the timbre found in some of the world's finest free-standing speakers? Yes.

The reality is that free-standing cabineted speakers won't work in every living room or installation. Moreover, surround speakers that are secured on the wall offer their own unique set of placement and mounting demands. Energy uses the same driver materials and technologies found in the cabineted designs, providing the opportunity to complete the Veritas experience from front to back. We believe that surround 5.1 and especially, surround 7.1 will benefit from the flexibility in placement that only an in-wall can deliver. The fact that they are visually less intrusive provides additional speaker location options, and perhaps an "easier sell" to those more visually demanding. Regardless, the fact is - speaker placement in awkward or problematic rooms requires innovative solutions. The more options, the better. The new Energy Veritas in-walls allow the owner to create a true timbre matched surround system. Some may even decide to use the in-wall speakers as an L+C+R.
